Office manager

My client a forward thinking innovative law firm are seeking a Office Manager to join our fast growing business. The company have an already established and successful office in the Nottingham area and are looking to expand into the Birmingham area. 

 

The Role

Human Resources including staff recruiting, training, performance evaluations, performance improvement planning, employee orientations, benefits administration, monitor attendance and PTO, emergency/safety practices, and overall employee relations.

Budget input and variance accountability, accounts payable (review and approvals), accounting reports review and analysis, manage petty cash, and additional basic accounting functions as necessary.

Coordinate with practice groups and firm management relating to office support, best practices and workflow management.

Facilities management including day-to-day facilities issues, economic use of office space, oversee facility improvements and build outs, moves, liaison with building management.

Oversight of support staff including secretaries, office support services, conference center, reception and other departments as well as collaborating with firm wide administration and management teams.

Coordinate with firm wide procurement efforts for supplies, equipment and other purchases for the local office.

Assist with special projects for the local office and firm wide.

 

The ideal candidate

Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.

Excellent organization, time management, problem solving and analytical skills.

Knowledge and skills relating to conflict management techniques.

Knowledge of general accounting processes, terms, concepts and policies.

Knowledge of workforce demographic, change/trends in the legal industry.

Ability to work independently and extended hours as necessary.

 

Experience needed

COLFA accredited.

Book keeping experience.
