Litigation Paralegal (LLS)

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal with at least 1 year of experience to support our legal team in managing litigation cases. The successful candidate will assist attorneys in all phases of litigation, from case inception through discovery, trial preparation, and post-trial activities. This is an office-based role requiring strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Organize and manage litigation files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and deadlines are met.
  • Document Drafting: Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.
  • Discovery: Assist with the preparation and management of discovery, including document requests, interrogatories, depositions, and evidence gathering.
  • Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant laws, case precedents, and regulations to assist attorneys in case preparation.
  • Trial Preparation: Prepare trial materials such as exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders; assist in coordinating logistics for trial.
  • Court Filings: File legal documents with state and federal courts, both electronically and in person, ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
  • Calendar Management: Manage case deadlines, including court dates, filing deadlines, and attorney schedules.
  • Client Communication: Act as a liaison between clients, witnesses, experts, and attorneys, providing case updates and gathering necessary information.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support such as maintaining case files, coordinating meetings, and organizing case-related documentation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a litigation paralegal.
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process, court rules, and legal procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certification or equivalent legal education.
  • Experience in state and federal court litigation.

Schedule:
