This position is based in the Crime department and answers to our Head of Department. Our Head of Department is internationally renowned criminal solicitor who has been practicing for number of years. You will be located at our either Bradford or Manchester Office but may at times be required to travel to our other offices. This role is not a remote working role.

 

Responsibilities:

Handle a caseload of criminal defence matters.  Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and provide sound legal advice to clients. Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings, trials, and mediations. Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Maintain accurate and detailed records of case progress and communications with clients.

 

Requirements:

Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2 year of post-qualification experience in criminal defence. We would consider a paralegal with 1 year of experience. Our ideal candidate should also be police station accredited or someone who wish to undertake this course.

Strong knowledge of criminal procedure rules and relevant laws. Excellent analytical, research, and drafting skills. Proven track record of successfully handling a variety of crime cases. Exceptional communication and advocacy skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to providing exceptional client service and achieving positive results. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new challenges in the legal field.
